Lac Tritriva, Antsirabe

#1 of 6 in Nature in Antananarivo Province
Must see · Water Body · Nature / Park
Explore on and around the emerald waters of Lac Tritriva, a small volcanic lake in a region known for hot springs. Vertical gneiss cliffs topped with lush vegetation surround the caldera lake, which, resembling the ridged back of a chameleon, is said to be some 80 m (262 ft) deep. See two interwoven trees at the lakeside, believed to be the souls of a young star-crossed couple who drowned themselves here. A scenic hike around the lake usually takes some 45 minutes; alternatively, take an inflatable boat trip to explore the cliffs and enjoy the view from the water. • Stunning view. It was worth to visit. Our guide was a lovely person. The road was bumpy. However, it was an interesting road trip for us from Antananarivo.  more »
