Meet some of Madagascar's lemur population at Lemurs' Park, a rehabilitation and release center for many species of this endangered creature. Providing sanctuary to numerous confiscated lemur pets, the reserve sits within a lush botanical garden, where pine forests shelter some 70 species of endemic plants. Take a guided tour below the canopies to learn the stories of each lemur, and stop at the vivarium for an up-close look at the resident chameleons, tortoises, and iguanas. An onsite cafeteria provides welcome respite from the heat of the day. Work out when and for how long to visit Lemurs' Park and other Antananarivo attractions using our handy Antananarivo travel route planner.

  • Visitors are not allowed to walk around in the park without a guide, so planning for a one-hour visit with the designed tour will be a realistic expectation. There are 7 species of lemurs in the park. It’s a bit like a mini safari so you never know how many you can spot, but the chance should be fairly high. The way they climb tree and dance is indeed cute!
