This is a platform with a religious statue supposedly at the geographic center of Madagascar. It's on a hill on a peninsula in the lake and offers nice views. You can pay someone a few ariary to... more »

The views are lovely, u can reach the viewing point either by car (4x4) drive all the way up via the typical bumpy dirt track or by canoe, and walk up dusty track 10-15minutes If u are in the area... more »

It's a peaceful place that you really should visit if you travelled a mt Ampefy....you only need a good car because the road is not really easy to access...you can reach the alona without any tourist guide, google maps will be there to help you...enjoy :)

Very quiet and beautiful place. Popular for Christian pilgrimage specially for Good Friday each year. Excellent view point over the Itasy Lake as it is located on the summit of a hill. Well worth the visit. Maybe be quite windy at times. Access gravel road is about 4km long and may be a real challenge even for 4x4 during rainy season.
