  • Many wooden buildings with straw roofs were on display, and people working on the site and those who guided them wore ethnic costumes. I just remembered the Folk Museum in Oslo, Norway. The weather is good, and there are a lot of greens, and it is recommended for the person who wants to spend it leisurely because it is a pleasant place. I spent about four hours here looking around old houses, farms, churches and windmills, but I like to sketch.

  • A very beautiful place, where you can slowly walk along the paths, see old houses, churches and mills, enjoy peace and nature. You can find a cozy place for a picnic or go to the tavern, try Latvian food according to old recipes and real bread from the oven. At the beginning of the summer there is a gorgeous fair of masters, which just can not be missed! There you can buy unusual food and drinks of local production, as well as items of clothing, everyday life, interior, art, jewelry and more.

  • Now that's something amazing. All that work to dismantle these buildings and put them back in one place for future generations. Café can feed you for 2.50 and you can have a nice beer for 3. Place is big and quiet, perfect for a day out but I would recommend to check the weather. Can't see anyone to enjoy this place in the rainy day.
  • Nice place to walk around on a beautiful day. But if you have limited time in Riga, do not feel bad if you miss it. :) I especially enjoyed the exhibit of old trunks and chests.
