Wat Xieng Mouane affords visitors a look at an intricately decorated and visually impressive Buddhist temple, its unusual design adorned with paintings reflecting Buddha's life. The monastery dates back to 1879 and runs a UNESCO-funded training program for young monks, teaching woodcarving, painting, and Buddha-casting to help maintain the region's temples. Look out for the structure's notable pillars supporting the front porch area, and be sure to check out the showroom at the site, which displays and sells craft works by the local monks By using our Luang Prabang journey builder , you can arrange your visit to Wat Xieng Mouane and other attractions in Luang Prabang.

이 사원에는 UNESCO가 후원하는 문화... more »It is located in the alleys of the center, and is neighboring Wat Yankkun Temple. Both temples are not well known, but both have been around since the mid-19th century. In particular, the Temple of Sienmuan is the center of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang's "Cultural Revival Plan", which is of great significance even though it is a rather unfamiliar temple. The temple has a UNESCO-sponsored cultural center that teaches art, architecture and other techniques needed to restore old buildings, mainly aimed at young monks. As the beautiful gongs from the temple have developed in the name of the temple, the interior is quiet and calm, and the murals in the main hall are particularly overwhelming.
Beautiful Buddhist temple in the heart of Luang Prabang old town.
Peaceful temple on small street. Some beautiful buildings and art
