Canyon Fairy Tale, Tosor

#5 of 24 in Parks in Issyk Kul Province
Must see · Canyon · Nature / Park
Marvel at rainbow-colored rocks, weirdly and fantastically shaped by the wind over centuries, at Canyon Fairy Tale. Sitting on the southern shores of the huge Lake Issyk-Kul, the canyon features rock formations resembling giant termite hills, with shades of red, yellow, and orange. Set against the backdrop of the snow-capped northern Tian Shan mountains, the canyon provides an amazing landscape for taking memorable photos. Use your imagination and try to see interesting shapes in the rocks, some of which resemble snakes, dragons, hippos, a sleeping giant, a castle, and even the Great Wall of China. The magical effect caused by light falling over the fabulous shapes and cracked rocks make a postcard-like scene to remember. Bring plenty of water for your walk through the isolated canyon. Plan a trip to Tosor easily and quickly by telling Inspirock to suggest an itinerary.
