  • Impressive monastery with fortifications and annexes. Most of painting inside the monastery are original. You can light candles inside the church and you can buy booklets about the monastery in many languages. A guide is also available.
  • Beautiful UNESCO monastery. Went there on a Sunday which was very quiet and peaceful. You have to leave your ID or passport to the GFOR just outside the gate before entering. There will also be guide providing you some good information about the monastery, frescos and architecture. There is a store inside, where you can buy some souvenirs and products including wine and brandy from the monastery.
