The Lake Issyk also known as Issyk Lake (Kazakh: Есік көлі, Esik kóli) is a lake in Kazakhstan fed by the Issyk River. It should not be confused with the Issyk-Kul Lake in neighboring Kyrgyzstan.

  • A super drive up to the lake through the mountains and you can take some fab photos en route. The colour of the lake is amazing. The lake side itself is a bit dire though with a big car park then...  more »
  • The lake is 40 kms from Almaty. Actually I liked it more than BAO. The views are amazing and there is a lot of space for walking and taking photos. And the road was not so scary)  more »
  • Perfect place, its water is blue like a soapy water. Place was a bit crowded, and wasty
