Mt. Yoshino stands as part of a World Heritage Site of sacred pilgrimage routes that spread across the Kii mountain range. Divided into four areas, the mountain consists of the Shimo Senbon, Naka Senbon, Kami Senbon, and Oku Senbon. From Shimo Senbon, you can hike up the mountain, or jump on the ropeway to Naka Senbon, where you'll find the bulk of the hillside town. Here, explore the many shops, restaurants, and scenic temples and shrines. Expect crowds during the hanami blossom season, when the mountain draws scores of visitors. Make Mt. • Lots of people, which is justified however. It's stunning, if you hit the right timing.
  • It’s quite a nice place but definitely lots of tourists and shops dedicated to them. They had a lot of cherry blossoms but I don’t think I would go out of my way again to come back (1.5 hours from Osaka one way). Worth the experience but other than that, nothing too special
