  • On foot, I climbed a lot of hard mountains and visited the shrine, one of The Yawata-san of Japan! I'm old, so this time I'm in a cable car. It was easy. It is one of the three great hachimangu shrines in Japan, and it is the first time since it became a national treasure though it came many times in the heavy sentence age. It is the oldest and largest building in existence as a building of the yahata-style. The soil wall or the gutter that Nobunaga is told that it sent There are a lot of attractions here and there in the precincts. The purpose of the last was to have lunch at Matsuhanado at the foot of the mountain, but i came close to it, so I visited the shrine.

  • On the last Sunday of August of the Heisei Year, I moved from Nagaoka kyo to Ishishimizu Hachimangu Shrine and visited the shrine. It was one of the three largest hachimangu shrines in Japan, and it was a campaign of JR in 2013, but I finally visited the shrine. I got off yawata city station on the Keihan train and was at a loss whether to walk or take a cable car, but today it was quite hot, so I decided to go to the cable car and walk back, but it was correct. It took about 20 minutes to go to one torii on the way back, and it was impossible to walk as a 70-year-old body. The main hall is a splendid building, and it is the appearance which makes it think that it is a national treasure indeed. )。 Unfortunately, the time has passed for the temple to visit the temple, so we couldn't see inside. It's fun next time. Next time, I want to visit around the time of autumn leaves.

  • Iwashimizu hachimangu was established in 859 in Yawata City in the south part of Kyoto Prefecture in a sacred ground where three large river of Kizu, Uji, Yodo meets. Resting on the top of Mt. Otokoyama known as a battle field of ancient times, the shrine serves itself as a guardian to protect the area. Original purpose of its establishment was to offer protection to the Emperor of Japan and late it turned into a grand shrine. The current form of the shrine was constructed in the time of Tokugawa Shogunate in 17th century. Its sophisticated decoration maked spectacular appearance built in a style of Hachiman zukuri. The shrine is very active with sacred rituals being held at a constant routine. There is a historical connection with Thomas Edison with this shrine since he collected fiber of bamboo grown in its precincts to make the very first light bulb for the shrine in 1880. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes of small hiking to reach the top of the mountain. There also is an observation point where you can command a panoramic view of the city. You can take a cable car to the top of the mountain from the nearby station. ( Trans-word+ : TGM Kyoto Guide )
