A lovely shrine with deep historic significance. More people should know about it. THE main shrine to worship Amaterasu in the Kanto region. Must be great fun during the festivals.

3日夕方に行くとこれぐらいの混雑です。所沢に住んで2年になりますが、毎年初詣させていただいてます。前に並んでいた親子連れのお父さんが子供たちに話してましたが、神明様にはお参りをする際、願い事ではなく先ずは昨年も無事に過ごせたことを感謝し、それから願い事をするようにとおっしゃってました。また、所沢で伊勢神宮詣でと同じ効果があると言ってたかな？勝手に聞き耳たててしまいましたが勉強になりました。

It is such a congestion when going to three days evening. It has been two years since I lived in Tokorozawa, but I am allowed to visit a shrine every year. Father of the parent and child who had been in line before was talking to the children, but when you visit the Shinmei like, thank you that I was able to spend it safely last year instead of a wish, and then told me to make a wish. Also, did you say that it has the same effect as Ise Jingu deity in Tokorozawa? I was ears to study.
