  • I was able to see a permanent exhibition with tickets for the special exhibition. We have a national treasure class gem. There was time on this day, too and we took a walk in the japanese garden behind us. It's a small place, but I think it's really good to feel like Japan.

  • In a majestic building, a beautiful collection of works, including Hokusai's "The Great Wave of Kanagawa," is well worth a visit although I would have liked more pieces. The temporary exhibition at the moment (forbidden photos) is exceptional.

  • It was a rainy day which was a perfect time for my visit to the museum. So much to see and lots to photograph, a few pieces were off limits to photo, but being important cultural pieces I understand why. I spent a good half day here and didn't feel bored at all, it was a wonderful trip through Japan's very interesting history. The fact it goes all the way back to Prehistoric times was fantastic.
  • Amazing place, rich in culture and heritage. a real insight into japanese culture and history. Worth every penny. I think is also worth grabbing some headphones. it gives you a much better understanding and meaning than just looking at the objects on display. Takes about 2 hrs plus.
