Sanno Club Reviews
Lovely displays with helpful English speaking guides. Beautiful crafts. I was privileged to be able to try on a ceremonial kimono! more »
（じゃ... more »It is a restaurant facility where you can feel the atmosphere of Sakata Port, which was crowded with Kitamae ships. When I was wandering around the area for a walk the night before, it was a little difficult to find the scenery in the city, but when I visited again in the daytime, I was surprised at the really splendid appearance. Is it proof that the whole old town of Sakata maintains a tasteful atmosphere? The admission fee of 800 yen (November 2019) was honestly expensive, but I am convinced if it helps to maintain valuable cultural properties. (Then...
Admission fee is 310 yen. The parking lot is 50 metres south of the building. You can taste the atmosphere of Sakata's restaurant culture. The exterior and interior of the building are unique and tasteful. There were many rooms on the first floor, but the room of Takehisa Yumeji remained the most impressive. It seems to have come to Sakata three times and was a favorite. In the luxurious room next to the reception, you can get a kimono and take a photo. The second floor is a room of the salon and Hina's umbrella Fuku. There was a lot of kimono in the exhibition. Usually only hina dolls exhibits? The atmosphere of the umbrella is good. However, it is regrettable that it is only a drink in the sweet place and the sweets are not put, and it seems to be seasonal. Other than that, the feeling of satisfaction was high.
The restaurant was open until 1999. This facility introduces the history of Japanese restaurant culture and Sakata. On the second floor there is a hanging ornament "between the umbrellas". A seasonal café. Adult 310 yen. Opening hours are from 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry is 16:30). The reception lady was very polite.
