Oze National Park, Japan

#177 of 2,924 in Nature in Japan
Must see · National Park · Nature / Park
Enjoy excellent hikes across an open green space spreading over four prefectures at Oze National Park, a 372 sq km (143 sq mi) park some 150 km (93 mi) north of Tokyo. Well-maintained trails, spectacular waterfalls, and a huge pond stand out as the highlights of this popular hiking destination. Walk on planks across vast Ozegahara marshes, the most visited part of the park, which sit around 1,400 m (4,593 ft) above sea level. Observe skunk cabbage, yellow lily, red weeds, and colored grass as you walk. In order to preserve the nature, you will walk on logs and planks most of the time. You can stay overnight in the park's small hotel. To visit Oze National Park and other attractions in Hinoemata-mura, use our Hinoemata-mura online day trip planner.
