One of Osaka's most recognizable landmarks, Umeda Sky Building is best known for its rooftop observatory, which provides panoramic views of the city. Completed in 1993, the building features two 40-story glass and steel towers linked by a bridge--which serves as the observation platform--173 m (568 ft) off the ground. The urban garden with walking trails and water fountains at the base of the towers serves as a popular recreation spot, while the underground gourmet market revives the atmosphere of the early 20th-century Osaka. Umeda Sky Building Reviews
No deja de ser un mirador de la ciudad, aunque es curioso ver las construcciones, puentes, ríos que cruzan la ciudad. Two office buildings joined by an empty terrace inside, with a fast elevator and escalators. It is curious to see the underground, with its numerous food outlets simulating an old Street of the Edo era.
Gives you a sense of how big and sprawling Kyoto is. This observatory is well organized. There is a cafe on the observatory with a good view. Would be a good place to enjoy a coffee with the view. You... more »
Gorgeous building worth visiting at night, and would be even better at sunset. The sky deck is stunning and offers an incredible panoramic view of the city. We got in line 30 minutes prior to sunset and totally missed it while waiting so get here a full hour before your desired time. The sky deck is beautiful and worth spending a solid hour up there as the floor lights up and looks like UV-fed stars. The deck gets crowded but with a little patience you can get your own great spot for a photo
Open air, open air, open air view. The outdoor element improves the experience by a large margin. We also can stay there however long we want...with a reasonably priced cafe at lower level that has enough seats covering roughly two different perspective. Recommend checking out golden hours of the day and chill through sunset given you have enough time. Note: there was a minor line when I visited, probably just for safety in confined spaces.
