Experience traditional Okinawan culture at Ryukyu Mura, where folk crafts, traditional music, dance, and local food and drinks continue to delight visitors. Take a stroll through the shaded village on well-paved paths, and interact with friendly locals to learn about their heritage and history. If your feet get tired, you can always rent a water buffalo cart to resume exploring the vibrant and active village stress-free. Let the fragrant aroma of curry lead you to the nearest local restaurant, or follow the English-translated signs to nearby shops or theater. Since the day can get very hot, carry sun screen, extra water bottles, and comfortable shoes. • Had a good time learning and seeing Okinawa culture. The attractions may not seems too interesting to some, but there are plenty of local authentic souvenirs to pick up. If you don't care for the performances you only need at most an hour. May seems pricey to some.
  • Quiet and lifeless place 😪 To be honest, I had high hopes for this place actually. But paying 1200yen for this place of historical remake is really not worth it. Even with the discounted coupon we still felt a pinch. The animals and workers/performers there are just exuding boredom, even the poor buffalo was so sleepy it can't even be bothered to wake up for a photo moment. Unless you are very into crafts of all sorts like glass making, clay painting or trying out their costumes each at a hefty price of 1500 yen, then this is a place for you. If not, save your money and visit some other notable locations in Okinawa.
