Admire the traditional Japanese architecture and garden design of Katsura Imperial Villa, a well-preserved residence of the Japanese imperial family. Only accessible as part of a tour, visits to the household last around an hour, taking the circular walking route through the garden and around the central pond. Completed in their current form in 1645, the villa and garden display many of the key features of regal Japanese households, including pristine, uncluttered living spaces, sliding doors, garden ornaments, native plant life, and shrines. • It is my fault that I went to the head without examining it, but i need identification to enter the park. It was different from the Imperial Palace East Gyoen in Tokyo and the Hamarikyu Garden. It's not good to be considerate.

  • I visited for the first time. The parking lot is free. I didn't know there was a reservation, but i was lucky enough to enter the park. I didn't need a dress code. After watching a video introducing the garden for about 10 minutes in the waiting room, we went to the garden with the guidance of a female guide. I learned a lot from the courteous and easy to understand explanations. It is a guide that it falls into the pond so that it will never take a photograph on the stone bridge which is over the pond and the width is about 1cm. If you actually cross the stone bridge, there is a good chance that if you concentrate on photography, you will lose your balance. It was a guide of about one hour, but cospa is considerably high when the entrance fee is 1,000 yen. Let's visit with your family next time.

  • Beautiful gardens, every tree and stone was selected for a purpose. A wonderful experience with a English speaking tour guide. You need to reserve your visit in advance.
  • It’s beautiful I wish you didn’t have to do the tour and just wonder by yourself. I do understand why you can’t HUMANS.
