Draining Lake Yuno by Yumoto Onsen, Yudaki Falls makes an impressive fan-shaped cascade, 70 m (229 ft) high and 110 m (360 ft) wide. A secure observation deck at the foot of the falls gives you a chance to feel the force of nature and get close to the roaring sound of tumbling water, with the sulfur-rich spray supposedly beneficial for your skin. You can also view the falls from the top. Take the 4.7 km (3 mi) hike from Senjogahara, which leads you past many streams, fallen trees, and meadows, or drive and park nearby. Yudaki Falls Reviews
Very impressive waterfall. Parking in very close to the waterfall, parking fee is 500¥. From waterfall base starts a loop paved path that our kids loved. Very nice and kids friendly track. If you have... more »
湯の湖から流れ出ている湯滝。水量が多くて豪快な流れで迫力があります。秋の紅葉の時期と若葉の春がお勧め。すぐ傍にあるお茶屋さんで魚の塩焼きも美味しかったです。 more »Yutaki flows out of the lake. There is a lot of water and it is powerful in a dynamic flow. The time of autumn leaves and the spring of the young leaves are recommended. The tea house in the immediate vicinity was delicious and the salt grilled fish was delicious.
Probably one of the best waterfalls I've been to be to honest, and that's saying something. The top of the waterfall has very good views of the surrounding mountains, which is especially scenic at sundown and sunrise. There are also many hiking tracks branching off from the waterfall from the top and bottom. Speaking of the bottom, as you make your way down you get to walk along a path that takes you right next to the waterfall, which is very good for unique angles. Then at the bottom there's a shop and more good views of the waterfall.
Very beautiful scenery. The waterfall is cascading and a lovely spot for photos. The boardwalk is nice to take in the view of the forest. The trail to the lake is a good walk and gives you a sense of calm. If you need to warm up or get something to eat, there is an on-site store and eatery.
