Taiyuimbyo Shrine, Nikko

4.6
Part of the Shrines and Temples of Nikko World Heritage Site, Taiyuimbyo Shrine houses the mausoleum of Tokugawa Iemitsu, a 17th-century shogun famous for helping Japan resist European colonial influences. Administered by Rinno-ji Temple, the shrine is one of the Three Golden Temples of Japan, and features a mixture of Shinto and Buddhist influences. Gold and black with red framing, a number of exquisitely built and decorated rooms have designated as national treasures, with large ceiling paintings of dragons adding to their mystique. Statues of Deva kings guard the compound, with stone lamps placed around the entire complex. The mausoleum sits 30-40 minutes by foot from Tobu and Nikko stations. • Our first stop in daylight is to the Grand Court. At that time people are not most, there are text explanations, just understanding. There are still people to explain the day, but I have limited ability to understand only a little bit of words, such as adding words to explain as good.

  • It has been six years since I first posted a word of mouth. The other day, I have seen it once, but this time I visited it again with my wife's strong hope. Unlike the golden vividness of Toshogu And the atmosphere of the bustle of worshippers, when you dive the heavy-built Niomon Gate, which is based on black by Iemitsu's will that you should not surpass your grandfather Ieyasu in a quiet and quiet space, On the way from the main shrine to the main shrine, many foreign tourists were seen among the relatively sparse visitors. They also looked into national treasures and important cultural properties from the Niomen Gate to the main shrine, as if they were studying the history and origin of the Daiyoin Pass. It was my first experience of being lucky, but I received valuable explanations from monks about iemitsu's love for Ieyasu, which was hidden in Daijo-in, as well as related national treasures and cultural properties in the main shrine. In addition, I purchased "Ryujin Fumaya" as a gift of Daiyoin. It is a broken arrow that it is enshrined for the rest of one's life when a bad thing is cursed, and the wish is fulfilled.
