#2 of 13 in Parks in Nasu-machi
Visit Mt. Nasu, a complex of volcanoes believed to have started erupting 600,000 years ago. Featuring five major peaks, the mountain's highest summit reaches a height of 1,916 m (6,289 ft). Take in a wide range of views from the top, including snow-capped peaks, tree-covered mountainsides, and even the Sea of Japan and North Pacific Ocean if the weather permits. Bring good hiking shoes and protective clothing, as weather conditions can rapidly change here. Plan my day in Nasu-machi using traveler tips and tourist information provided by Inspirock.

  • The mountain was dangerous when the weather was bad, so I turned back without overdoing it. The left side of the AirPods flew in the strong wind. It disappeared in the snow which fell the day before, and it was sure to be within almost 50cm by GPS, and it was not heard by the strong wind, and it gave up though it tried to make a sound. It was 8500 yen when I bought it by repair at a later date. I was grateful if the sound was louder. It became a funny story.

  • Because it is able to go up at a dash by the ropeway to the top of a mountain, there is an easy to go to climbing easily, but it is still a climbing mountain. The wind is strong at the summit station, and the temperature is considerably different from the foot. In addition, it becomes gravel and the rock of the steep slope to the top of the mountain. There is a part where it is muddy because of the thaw, too. I think that shoes and clothes which are accustomed for climbing a mountain are good. Even if you don't climb the mountain, it's fun to go up to see the view from the summit station.
