Visit the ruins of Nakijin Castle Ruins, a 14th-century Ryukyuan castle and part of a World Heritage Site. Destroyed by the Japanese in the 1609 invasion of Okinawa, the ruins were abandoned. Nowadays, you can explore the imposing stone walls of the former castle, spread out across the lush forested hills, or visit the small museum that displays artifacts found on the premises. From the hilltop ruin site, you can enjoy scenic views of the East China Sea. Ask Inspirock to suggest an itinerary and make planning a trip to Nakijin-son fast, fun, and easy.
Nakijin Castle Ruins Reviews
島内観光ドライブ中に立ち寄りました。 すでに首里城は見学済みでしたが、首里城とはまた違った城跡で、城跡景色は結構感動しました。 more »I stopped by during a sightseeing drive on the island. I had already visited Shuri Castle, but it was a different castle ruins from Shuri Castle, and the view of the castle ruins was quite impressive.
日陰は全く... more »I went by the churaumi aquarium and the set by a regular sightseeing bus. If you go in a sense like Shuri Castle, you will be disappointed, but it is a thing that you only have to prepare in the guidebook. Ryukyu's unique castle culture is stone culture, or the wall like the Mini Great Wall, ishigaki is truly a world heritage site. The beautiful cobblestones that followed from the entrance, the fake sofas that were actually maintained for sightseeing, and the steep slope that descended from the right side of the place where it went up laughed with the old road to the original castle. Because there is no shade at all, the heat stroke measures for one hour walking around roughly in the coming season are indispensable. There may not be a need for repeat visitors, but it's well worth visiting once with churaumi aquarium and set. I put it in 400 yen → 320 yen for an adult in jaf discount (Shuri castle is no discount at all in a regular sightseeing bus, seko!! )
Superb place with stunning views and also sakura blossoming. Something to consider if you are in the area! If you come on sundays, there seemed to be a magic show which was free as well! Splendid!
Not a big castle, and it was raining so we didn't spend much time here. We were there on 9th February 2019, when there was the cherry blossom festival, but there weren't many shops that impressed us. But the view was fantastic and the sakura was beautiful.
