    Beautiful museum. Plan to spend four or more hours. On Wednesday is free and there is a drawing class. There are all kinds of styles: classic, American, impressionists, French, and modern. There was.....  more »

    Maybe it is just me, but there were closed doors everywhere in this museum, and I just didn’t feel comfortable entering many of the galleries. Signage was confusing too. I gave up after just a...  more »

    We were impressed with the works in the museum. They were mainly western classics, but there were a few Japanese gems, Utamaro and Itcho that were worth the trip. As a nice touch, they say that my wife was chilled by the AC, so they came over and wrapped her up in a shawl. (Full disclosure we are members of the Boston MFA)
