  • It is a villa of the Ryukyu Kingdom era. It is not a facility such as this, but you can go around leisurely. The remains of the Battle of Okinawa remain in this facility. The parking lot is large and it is not as crowded as Shuri Castle, and parking is free.

  • Amazing place! Go first thing in the morning when they open and you can practically have the place to yourself. The price of entry is more than worth it when you see the meticulous maintenance. You are in the heart of a busy city but once you enter you'd swear you were in a peaceful wooded area. A great place to relax and take a walk. My visit would have been perfect if it weren't for a near constant roar of American military aircraft flying over...thanks America...
  • Its a great park. You can go into the main historical buildings. (Not sure if you can go into some of the others normally as there was storm damage when I went there). No outside food allowed which is a bit of a shame, it would be amazing for picnics. But at least you don't have to see other people's trash either.
