Enjoy a fun and educational trip to Nagoya City Science Museum, the site of the world’s largest planetarium. Spread out over three buildings, the museum underwent extensive renovation in 2012 when the new planetarium was built. View an array of interactive exhibits, most of which are suitable for children to enjoy, or catch one of the daily science shows. You can pay a visit to the massive planetarium, but be aware that the audio is only in Japanese. Make your Nagoya itinerary with Inspirock to find out what to see and where to go.

The museum is absolutely amazing and I had so much fun there. It's like a gigantic 6 floors of playground for both children and adults. Try to pick a good time to avoid the numerous school trips, I be... more »

This place is an excellent place for kids and even for adults. One day visit from opening to closing hours is enough to enjoy all the shows and visit every corner and try every activity they have. The color of stars show is very nice but is only available in Japanese. But if you have basic knowledge of the sun, stars, moon and the galaxy, it will just be common sense for you to grasp what it is all about. The activites offered are very interesting. And is useful to students. Parents are must accompany the children and explain everything in the museum to maximize the knowledge the children will get. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I recommend this place specially to those who are homeschooling. Toilets are everywhere and are clean. Outside the museum is a park with a small playground that is very nice for children. Worth visiting. 👌

I always bring my friends here when they visit Nagoya. I have had a year pass for he planetarium when I was a student , it was before this planetarium renewed to be this big. But even since before , the program has been pretty good. Each month they have different theme and each commentator actually talk something different too. Unfortunately It’s only in Japanese but even for only the visual stars it’s worth visiting. Go when you are not tired so you don’t fall asleep.
