  • Nachi Taisha was built along the slope of Mt. Nachi, one of kumano sanzan. This Aokishi Toji temple was also located next to Nachi Taisha shrine, and a number of temples were built along the slope. It is said that it was originally a place of the God and Buddha study which centered on nachi falls, but it seems to have been separated from Aokishi Wataji and Nachi Taisha in the early meiji era. In contrast to nachi taisha, where the bright red shrines are lined up, the aogishi wataji here was a bitter and profound structure. The parking lot in front of the office of Nachi Taisha, where we parked, was a scenic spot to see the buildings of Aokishi Toji temple and the nachi waterfall behind it.

  • Several elderly people went to worship for The Far Aoki Wataji Temple. I thought it was a wonderful temple to step into the main hall and feel the history, but there was a little excitement because i spent a long time moving than the distance anyway, and a loud voice which echoed in the main hall suddenly sounded to the main hall when it was standing up with everyone. In the place where it was quiet, there by the voice! Get out of the way! We were yelled at, and when we looked at the shouting, a fairly elderly grandfather who had written a red seal was staring at us. I went out of the main hall right away, but i went out of my way to spend time and money, so I went to the reception desk to ask for a prayer of thanks to the main hall again.

  • The combination of three-story-pagoda and waterfall is excellent!
  • First of all, its name is really cool. The name of this temple reminds me an Indian missionary crossing all the way over the Blue Ocean.I feel something spiritual romance.
