    First off, this isn't a castle. It was part of a hotel. With that out of the way, it has a great view of the bay and town! If it's open and you can manage steep stairs I highly recommend it. There's.....  more »

    Matsushima Castle, a sadly rebuilt structure that was strangely not open in the afternoon on a Friday. I'll just have to leave climbing up to the top and checking out the views up to my imagination...

    Really great view of the bay on a clear day. My only complaint is that this place is rarely open, so it's hard to plan a visit. The stairs are quite steep so elderly people and children may have difficulty.
