Essentially made up of one epic, 8,000 m (26,245 ft) trail, Kusatsu International Ski Place boasts one of the country's longest continuous ski runs. From mid-December to mid-April, the resort offers intermediate and expert pistes at higher altitudes, with beginner run at the base of the resort. If you're just starting out, the park offers ski and snowboard lessons, in both English and Japanese. If you're traveling with youngsters and need an hour or two to yourself, the resort offers a childcare service subject to reservations. After a day on the slopes, consider making the most of the nearby hot springs, a good way to relax those tried muscles.   • This place is a very good place but since the volcano erupted,they closed the top.But it is still a fun place to ski and the staff for the restraints ext. is very nice.  more »
  • This used to be one of my favorite places, but a volcano erupted a few years ago near the top of the mountain and ever since, only the middle and bottom areas are open (the best part of the mountain.....  more »
