Japan doesn't have very many places to stroll among prewar buildings, but Mojiko offers a glimpse into the Taisho and early Shows era. Mojiko station is the most striking building to me, but others nearby are rebuilt or refurbished. Nice place for a walk and if you keep walking there's a pedestrian tunnel to Honshu, but it's a bit of a hike.

I could say that it has a good European atmosphere. You should try 焼きカレー of Mojiko. Although most of the visitors are Korean, they only put English, Chinese and Japanese informations on the places.
