Set in a well-preserved forest sanctuary at the foot of Mount Unebi, Kashihara Jingu represents the place where the first Japanese emperor ascended the throne. The popular Shinto shrine's campus provides space for large gatherings; you may also visit the gong and watch locals performing thai chi. The current building was constructed in 1889. The site houses food shops inside, and it is only a 10-minute walk from the railway station. • Big temple with lots of gates and shrines. Also a beautiful lake, with deep shadows.
  • I visited in the morning around 7:30am. There were some waking people on the way from yagi station beside kashihara jingu area. Big area with wild and sacred bush. I could not visit all area but I think you should definitely visit.
