It IS a nice little wooden bridge over a nice river but I'm not sure how this is such a huge tourist draw. Maybe I've been spoiled, living close to Kyoto for 20 years but this really didn't seem all.... more »

We tried entering Kakusenkei gorge from here but the bridge was closed for some repairs. Will come again next time. Mind you, we can still enter the gorge via Ayatori or Kurotani bridge. more »

It is a kooragi bridge in 1988. Around this time, there was a TV drama called Kooragi Bridge, and I wanted to see the real thing. It seems to be a new bridge now, and I want to visit it again.See original
