Take a walk into a jungle formed by impressively tall palm trees endemic to the island at Yaeyama-yashi of Yonehara. Sited at the base of a mountain, the forest features many species of palm trees, including Yaeyama-yashi, designated a natural treasure. At the beginning of the broad boardwalk, stop by small shops selling juice and shaved ice--ideal refreshments before or after your walk.
