  • Visit here and you will know why Hamamatsu is called city of music. Huge 2 floor museum with unbelievable musical instruments from around the world. You can try your skills on some. Very close to Hamamatsu station. Entry tickets are decently priced. Worth visit if you have 2-3 hours time.
  • This is actually a great museum. There are many instruments from around the world, often special exhibitions. You can listen to recordings of the instruments and sometimes play them. There are good signs, oftentimes also in English. Do not get the (free) audio device. It just repeats what's already on the signs, in a computer-generated voice. You will spend a lot of time realizing you don't need it, and it's not updated to the current displays. It also interferes with listening to the headphones at each instrument.
