Kobe Kitano Museum (Ijinkan-gai), Chuo

3.6
Explore Kobe Kitano Museum (Ijinkan-gai), a city district settled by foreign merchants and diplomats after the Port of Kobe was opened for international trade in the 19th century. Elegant and luxuriously decorated mansions and embassies still populate this street and serve as museums. Each charges a separate admission free, but if you're not interested in seeing each individual museum, a stroll through the pleasant street gives a good sense of the architecture. You’ll also find a couple of gift shops and eateries in the area Make your Kobe itinerary with Inspirock to find out what to see and where to go.

  • When you enter Kitano-cho, it changes into a European landscape. There are stylish cafes, museums, and relaxing time.

  • The area where a stylish Western-style building is lined up when going up the slope. Admission to each building is at an additional cost. So I don't have to go to all of them. I thought, i entered only the famous uroke house. It was also nice to relax in an exotic area.
