Trip Planner: Asia / Japan / Kanto / Tokyo Prefecture / Tokyo / Chiyoda / Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum
View a number of important artworks at Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, an art gallery focusing on 19th-century Western artworks. Opened in 2010, the museum sits in a three-story red brick and concrete building, a reconstruction of the original building that stood on the spot from 1894 to 1968. The gallery examines trends in the European art world at the time the original building was completed, with a particularly keen focus on the works of Henri Toulouse-Lautrec. Pass through the gallery's 20 rooms, watching the birth of modernism in Europe, and make sure to check out the temporary exhibits as well as the permanent collection. Very nice place. The main building is a museum, from where you can see the garden. In the garden , there are a few nice restaurants and cafe. There is also a very famous cafe, Which makes you feel you were in Europe instead . But without a reservation, you will be told to wait for about 1 hour..
I went there to see Phillip's Collection. A beautiful British old Building with red bricks. They have good exhibitions through a year.
