  • On the way, eh, here? It was in the mountain which was so dense that I thought. I was advised to use a cane and borrowed it, but it was correct. We were in our 30s and we climbed for about 10 minutes. I climbed a pretty steep rocky staircase and by the time I arrived, it was hethet. It might be severe for the elderly. The cliff buddha was powerful.

  • It is a cliff Buddha in the late Heian period in Toyogo Takada City, Oita Prefecture. If you go 300 m from the parking lot to Kumano Gondoju, you will start with a terrible stone steps with a mess of natural stones starting from the stone torii. The stone steps here are legendary places that demons piled up overnight. It was a wonderful scenery though it was considerably sudden and the foot was a little dangerous. It's worth coming here, but there's a real ly great place on that stone step. You can see the left as soon as the huge cliff buddha carved on the rock wall goes up the stone step. The first cliff Buddha is "Fudo Meiwang's Two Children's Statue". Fudo Meiwang is a half-standing statue of about 8 m. There are two small child statues to the right. The second cliff buddha is the Statue of The Great Sun Tathagata. This is a half-body image of about 6.7 m. It is the oldest cliff Buddha of the great est power in Japan. It is indeed gods in the quiet mountain. Kumano Shrine was sitting on the top of the cliff Buddha. There was a small shrine. If you look closely, the main hall is built to get stuck in the rock wall behind. This is also mysterious.

  • The upper part of the staircase is like a random stone pile up, which is a little hard to climb up. You should get a walking pole at the entrance.
  • Buddhas in the cliff face. A unique and stunning place, with an enjoyable walk up to the top
