This hike is only for those who want a challenge. It is up up up through lovely forest but unrelenting in a workout. The view on top is worth it. Take the tram down as you will have earned it! more »

We climb on the way and took a cable car coming back. It was quite a tough one for mountain climbing but when you see the view for the top of the mountain, you feel it was worth it... more »

The hill top is cold and scenic. Taking the rope way to the top allows you to enjoy the scenic view of Beppu City beside the sea. During the day we went up it’s foggy and we are not able to see the main land from the top. The is a huge traditional thermometer once u touch down to the hill top.

Top is accessible by cable car. At top, you could get fine views of Beppu and Mt. Yufu. There were many mini shrines to find around the top.
