  • Very peaceful
  • Kotokuji(広徳寺)temple is a place where is nowhere else and look beautiful and clam and Peacefully place to visit. I’ve visited about 10 years ago with my family and this will be my 2nd visit by bicycle. The temple main entrance is breathtaking after you enter and seeing the floor it’s all covered with ginkgo golden leaves. The temple looks having a long old history. (please use google for more information about this temple) The main of this view it from the two ginkgo trees. Autumn is the most beautiful season for this and brings many visits (Oversea and local) the view really take you into another dimension of view. The location is accessible by taking the JR train and get off at Musashi-Itsukaichi station. (武蔵五日市) Instead of going directly to the temple, if you have a little of the time, My suggestion to you will take a walk along the Aki River (秋川) follow the path and walk toward temple Kotokuji.(広徳寺)to enjoy the river view and follow by the temple. The temple is small and the most will take you 30mins or less to fully enjoy the view and taking nice photos. Other than the temple, we can walk along the riverside whereby there is a hiking path or bicycle path for you to walk/ride along the river. After that, you can rest inside the temple and enjoying the beautiful view. Please take note walking up to the temple will be a small and steep road and the sometimes car may pass by too. I will recommend you pay a short visit and there are some nice local cafe and soba restaurants for you to get some meals and etc.
