This is a museum near Piazza Bra. Because I put it in Verona Card, I stopped by the passing. The entrance is a temple-style Greece lined with canoncolumns. There were a lot of sculptures that were dug up when we entered. Because it is very small, it finishes seeing soon.View original -

Museum wanted in 1738 by the history enthusiast: the Marquis Scipione Maffei. Little advertised, it is located at the beginning of Piazza Brà, right looking at the Brà Gate. You pass a hall and you arrive in a courtyard with a beautiful palace with very high colonnade. Inside, in a small museum, you can admire Etruscan, Roman and Greek epigraphs. Just came here for the photo of the building's exterior structure, because by the time we reached there it's already close. However the guard was very nice and allow us to enter just to snap a few photo out of it.

The Lapidary Museum Maffeiano has a Very interesting collection of Greek, Etruscan, Roman and Paleo-christian funerary stones. It is a great place to contemplate your own mortality. Humans have been dying for thousands of years. What not you? Just be careful. As the Museum demonstrates, Your stones will live much longer than you do.
