  • Thanks to the historian Nicola Barbatelli has been unveiled the mystery in the history of art on the car portrait of Leonardo da Vinci. Rediscovered the painting at the home of a private in the Salernitano or rather say the self-portrait of Leonardo da Vinci was estimated by experts who carried out this work around the end of 1400. The historian Barbatelli has made an important path to go back thanks to restorers in Neapolitan to the original canvas that did not have the painted pen... Going up to an inscription on the back of the painting carried out on the contrary and with the left hand it was possible to demonstrate thanks to a reconstruction in 3D with computer in Tallin in Estonia that this painted self-portrait is the original made in person by Lorenzo of the Medici with the TEC of the mirrors at 21 degrees of angle. • Very well maintained museum, very interesting, managed with care and passion for local history illustrated with availability, professionalism and extreme courtesy by Mrs. Isabella. Don't miss the upstairs with the 75 machines of the fabulous Leonardo Da Vinci including the mirror chamber that allows a 360-degree view and which Is said to have used for his famous self-portrait. For enthusiasts the visit to the museum can be integrated with the site of the archaeological park of Serra di Vaglio rich in finds that allows you to visit an ancient dwelling complete with accessories and other artifacts inside. Unmissable!
