  • The palazzo del Capitano del popolo was built after that of the people, adjacent to the latter, but it backtracked. It was built in 1293 in Italian Gothic style. White, chiselled stone façade is characterized by 3 orders: on the ground floor two large round arches giving access to a large porch, which i call tuderti, like those of the palazzo del Popolo, the archways; on the first floor three beautiful gothic triple Lancet Windows; the second order of 4 three of the same style. Between the second and third floors, is located in a niche in a small bronze Bell called apella he called in the meeting the representatives of the people. The building, on the first floor, a large room, today houses the City Council and on the second picture gallery.
