Must see · Volcano · Nature / Park
See one of Italy's three active volcanoes, Stromboli, erupt daily. Hike up the steep, rugged trails to one of three active hotspots at the summit, 926 m (3,034 ft) above the Tyrrhenian Sea and the island's shoreline. The volcano has erupted in short intervals nearly every day for the past 2,000 years. Beyond a certain elevation, you must travel with a guide. Access can vary depending on current conditions.
