Completed in 1348 by the Siena's medieval rulers, Torre del Mangia is a symbol of the city at the Palazzo Pubblico. Marvel at the 88 m (289 ft) tall tower, a well-preserved example of Italian Gothic and secular architecture. You can climb 400 steps to the top of the structure for views of the city and Tuscan countryside. The staircase may be a challenge for people with mobility, cardiovascular, or claustrophobia issues.   • The tower is almost 300 feet high and has awesome views of the city. It is a beautiful sight to see and one in which all tourists in the city must go and view for themselves.  more »
