Religious Site · Hidden Gem · Historic Site
Erected in the 13th and expanded the 14th and 15th centuries, San Francesco features a neo-Gothic facade and frescoes by Jacopo Zucchi, Pietro Lorenzetti, and Giuseppe Nicola Nasini. The church is rather cavernous, with large stained glass windows adding to the feeling of airiness. • Beautiful town with many interesting points. I suggest visiting the museum; my daughter loved being able to try on medieval armour and weapons. Chainmail is no joke.
