Discovered in 1913, Pozzo Sacro Sant'Anastasia is an underground religious site, with a wide hole in the roof which allows the sunlight to enter. The walls of the temple structure are mostly made of limestone, with an ancient well at the very center--archaeologists found vessels dating back to the 8th century BCE at this location.
