Capo Testa, Santa Teresa Gallura

Must see · Nature / Park · Wildlife Area
The protected beaches of Capo Testa are a magnet for swimmers. The rocky, granite peninsula, which is attached to Sardinia's mainland by an isthmus, is only about ten kilometers (6.2 miles) across. The Romans once used the small peninsula to mine the granite for their magnificent cities. The caves where the stone was quarried were last used as a source of building materials in the early 20th century. Pull on a pair of shoes with a strong grip and hike around the eroded rocks to admire the formations smoothed and shaped by the wind. • Lovely scenic place
  • Capo Testa is definitely a must visit in north Sardinia. Amazing landscape, awesome views (especially for the sunset), unbelievable small beaches -although you better skip peak summer season-.
