  • In This period of great heat, which has hit us suddenly, there is nothing better than stopping to visit the palace of the Doria Pamphilj, a small oasis sheltered by the hot asphalt of the city center. Walking through the crowd on Via del Corso, we enter from the big door at number 305 in search of coolness. Inside, we observe more and more curiosity the garden with the flora that regenerates and the rows of the perimeter colonnade. Deciding is an obvious consequence. The visit of the palace is a gift, an unparalleled privilege: the vast halls of representation furnished with glitz and magnificently decorated, the chapel, an intimate place, reserved for recollection and prayer, and then the luxury of the private apartments of Princess. A special mention goes to the gallery, a concentrate of art and history, a private collection unique in the world. The works are so many that they completely cover all the environments. For a short time, made of moments that we would not like to end, we enjoyed this atmosphere, the same that breathed the guests in the second half of the eighteenth century.

  • This is a great place to visit with some beautiful works of art set in an historic house. The audio guide is very helpful and informative. Allow an hour and a half to appreciate everything there.
  • A breathtaking experience, the museum is awesome and it’s worth to see the private rooms too. Read about the family history, it’s great to know the connections when you visit the Vatican museums. Don’t miss this place and plan 2 hours for your visit. The Cafe on the ground floor is good.
