  • Real exotic gem of the crowded Piazza Bellini sights, in the center of Palermo. The church was founded by Maione di Bari in the 12th century and surrendered to the Benedictine until the 18th century. In 1882 it was restored again and the original austere architecture of the conception. The compact external sandstone look, in which the arcs give a lighter, almost airy tone, is combined famously with the three Arab influential red domes. The contrast of the monochrome of the walls with the red aesthetic "slap" of the domes, literally "sounding" melodic to the senses of the visitor. The overall picture, as you face it from the square, really seduces. The plain, without decorations, three-aisled with pillars inside, contributes harmoniously to the completion of the magic of the building. Breathtaking attraction!

  • Externally they hit the red domes, but internally there is nothing. Bare walls, very small church and no decoration or anything that can justify ticket prices

  • Amazing tiny Norman church. Well worth a visit.
  • The part you pay to see (2.5 euro per person) is interesting but very small.
