  • In the upper part of via duomo. Dei ruffi because connected to the noble family Ruffo. Baroque church dating from the 17th century. Very particularly the double ramp ladder that leads to the entrance of the Church. Beautiful dome and the side chapels. also important is the high altar, divided from the Church by a gate.

  • If there is a church in Naples, it is this one, a bit out of the way right away from the via Duomo, this silence, his paintings executed by the great Neapolitan Baroque painters, and this sister who prays, like all the others and that twenty-four hours on twenty four, so I'm saying respect, timeless place, Naples has not finished surprising us

  • The church of San Giuseppe dei Ruffi (or dei Ruffo) and the corresponding monastery are located in the homonymous square and their foundation dates back to 1604, thanks to the interest of some noble Neapolitan women such as Cassandra Caracciolo, Caterina Tomacelli and Hippolyta and Caterina Ruffo. In parallel, meanwhile, the central nave was built, while between 1681 and 1686 the main altar was also realized.  After the death of Lazzari, the shipyard stepped into the hands of Archangel Guglielmelli and his son Marcello who, together, finished the nave and began building the atrium that was definitively concluded in 1725. Later, the work passed to Nicola Tagliacozzi channel who, in the first place, was concerned to reinforce the structure and repair the damage of the earthquake and, then, decorated the interior with marbles committed. In the NINETEENTH century, to allow the construction of via Duomo, one side of the great cloister came Sacrifi ced

  • Currently the Church is in gase of restoration. I don't know if you can visit. For me it is one of the most beautiful examples of Neapolitan Baroque. It is to co-operate with the Cathedral which is in Gothic style
