  • The exhibition is very interesting and worth a visit. A convenient card is issued at the entrance, which indicates what is worth paying attention to in each room.

  • The art museum is in a very beautiful building in Brera. Here you can see one of the largest collections of Italian art from the 1200 and until the 20th century. Century. Especially the Renaissance is richly represented. You can get really close to the pictures and there are fine explanations and background stories at each. We did not have an audio guide but were well briefed via the info material on site. The building also houses the Academy of Fine Arts, and you can get glimpses of the students ' concentrated work in the doors of the large drawing halls. Behind the museum is the Orto Botanico, a lush garden where you can sit and enjoy tranquility and shade. It is free to visit the garden.

  • I enjoyed the collection, but the ticket seller was incredibly rude. Despite it saying that EU teachers in arts (INCLUDING literature) were permitted free entry, she did not accept my Dutch university ID. I told her that literature was listed in the subjects on the board behind me and she simply ignored me. This honestly colored my visit, and I was left unable to enjoy the art as much as I would have liked.
  • Definitely get the audio guide and be prepared with a proximity card for your payment as for some odd reason they did not have the capability of accepting the usual chip card. Fortunately, Google Pay worked.Great museum, but really unfriendly staff at the ticket desk. One particular woman was very difficult to deal with. I enjoyed the collection - not too large, but probably wouldn't return.
