Museo Poldi Pezzoli, Milan

#7 of 116 in Museums in Milan
Redecorated in 19th century with furnishings that coordinate with the paintings, Museo Poldi Pezzoli is the epitome of Italian taste. The private collection showcases artwork from Northern Italian and Flemish masters. Glassworks, ceramics, jewelry, and weaponry also grace the well-appointed rooms. Thirty years before the rooms were redesigned, the palace was rebuilt in the Neoclassical style with an interior English garden. View the rooms and building with a discounted ticket by presenting your ticket at the nearby Museo Teatrale alla Scala. • Recommended by an art expert friend, we also visited this museum thanks to the audio guides. It was a very welcome surprise, especially for the presence, among the works on display, of some paintings of great value. The collection ranges from armor, lace, paintings, watches. Perhaps not everything can be of the same interest, but it is still worth it, of course. To be recommended.

  • A small museum in the centre of Milan, in the historic Via Manzoni, which is usually not included among Milan's favorite itineraries. Error. This little gem hides paintings by famous artists such as pollaiolo, Guardi, Botticelli, Mantegna and many others who pride our artistic traditions. Take a little time to visit and you won't regret it.

  • Medieval and Renaissance and also ancient history is my inspiration. If it would be possible, I give this museum 10 of 5 stars! Pictures, icons, Gobelins, knights armours etc - this is only a little part of exposition! If you are interested in history, you should visit this museum!
  • Amazing collection of Renaissance and later art held in a historic house in Milan. Lovely to be able to stand and take in the paintings and sculptures without feeling hassled by crowds. Metro station nearby, €10 entry for adults, some reductions available, well worth it.
